Boxer briefs have become a very popular style over the last 20 years, although they are quite young compared to the traditional boxer shorts from which they're derived. Boxer shorts originated in 1925 by the maker of Everlast. The traditional design was developed for boxers to wear during fights. Later, designers mated the concept of briefs with that of boxers and the boxer brief was born. While they existed in the 1980s, it wasn't until the 1990s until their popularity accelerated and multiple designers began manufacturing them.

Boxer Brief Styles and Designs

Boxer briefs come in a variety of different styles and designs. At Nuwear, we're interested in offering the most inclusive collection with the widest variety of options. Boxer briefs have come a long way over the years and there are an enormous amount of designs to choose from. For this reason, we've chosen hundreds of briefs from more than 20 designers.

To assist in your selection, it's helpful to understand the different styles. Boxer briefs come in a form-fitting design that covers the waist and thighs. The extent of coverage varies depending on the style. Some briefs reach further down the thighs than others while others come down just below the crotch line. For those looking for the longest style, Andrew Christian, Doreanse, Intymen, Male Power, MaleBasics, N2N Bodywear, PPU, Papi, and Unico offer briefs that reach the furthest down the thighs. Briefs with less thigh coverage are offered by all the designers we feature.

Modern briefs have embraced more than just standard colors. Many designers have flexed their creativity to offer interesting and exciting styles that incorporate intricate patterns and an impressive array of colors. Styles are not just confined to a wide use of colors; some also utilize innovative and sensual features. Some designers, such as Good Devil, use mesh to visually expose your intimate details. Others, such as Greg Homme and Male Power, use zippers or cutouts that enable full or partial exposure of intimate male parts. Candyman goes a step further by manufacturing over-the-shoulder suspenders and faux tape designs that are truly unique.
